BoffinDNA is a product and brand operated by KALATITMANISHA, an Udyam-registered enterprise owned by Deepak Ruchandani.

In this policy, “BoffinDNA”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the BoffinDNA service and its operator.

2. Scope

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal data when you use the BoffinDNA website, application or related services.

The current service is in development and is intended for adult users. Features intended for children will not be introduced without appropriate safeguards and verifiable consent arrangements.

3. Information we may collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

  • your name, mobile number, email address and authentication information;

  • date of birth, location and other profile details you provide;

  • recorded or uploaded audio and video;

  • photographs or video frames selected for a profile image;

  • résumés, certificates, letters, images and other files you upload;

  • text you enter or paste;

  • transcripts and information extracted from your sources;

  • professional history, education, skills, languages and career preferences;

  • consent, sharing and visibility choices;

  • identity-matching and conflict-review decisions;

  • device, security, diagnostic and usage information; and

  • communications you send to support or privacy contacts.

 

Please do not upload information that you are not authorised to provide.

4. Why we process information

​

We may process personal data to:

  • create and secure your account;

  • authenticate access using an OTP or another approved method;

  • receive and store sources you choose to provide;

  • transcribe, extract and organise profile information;

  • detect source or identity mismatches;

  • generate and update your profile;

  • create profile documents and structured data;

  • share information when you expressly instruct us to do so;

  • respond to support and privacy requests;

  • protect the service against misuse or unauthorised access; and

  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

 

We will not treat consent for authentication as consent to receive promotional communication.

5. AI-assisted processing

​

BoffinDNA uses automated systems to analyse submitted material.

​

AI-generated results may be incomplete or incorrect. Extracted information should be treated as a draft until reviewed. BoffinDNA does not infer sensitive personal characteristics from a person’s appearance, voice or name.

6. Service providers

​

We may use specialised service providers for:

  • database and file storage;

  • cloud infrastructure;

  • AI-assisted transcription and extraction;

  • authentication and OTP delivery;

  • security, monitoring and technical support.

 

Current or planned providers include Supabase, Google Cloud and authorised messaging providers such as MSG91 and their telecom delivery partners.

 

Providers are permitted to process information only for the services they supply to BoffinDNA and subject to appropriate contractual and security arrangements.

7. Sharing

​

We do not sell personal data.

We may share information:

  • when you instruct us to generate or share a profile;

  • with service providers required to operate the platform;

  • when required by law or an authorised legal process;

  • to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or

  • during a lawful business restructuring, subject to applicable safeguards.

 

Original evidence and sensitive information should not be included in employer-facing outputs by default.

8. Retention

​

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, honour user choices, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal requirements.

Users may request deletion of an account or selected information. Limited records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs or where retention is legally required.

A detailed retention schedule will be published before the service becomes generally available.

9. Security

​

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their devices, authentication codes and account credentials.

10. Your choices and rights

​

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

  • access to information associated with your account;

  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • withdrawal of consent;

  • deletion of information that is no longer required;

  • information about authorised sharing; and

  • review of a grievance concerning personal data.

 

Withdrawing consent may prevent us from continuing to provide features that require the affected information.
